Quality

We are building and qualifying a world-class QMS, including AS9100 Rev C certification and NADCAP certification for all special processes.

he QMS will be fully elaborated at each level, down to operator procedures. It has a fully ‘gated’ structure with authorized, qualified sign-off for each component, each phase and each process.

Particular emphasis and attention will be paid to sub-tier supply, including casting and coating houses.  Wherever possible this will be handled in a partnership arrangement, to create a highly integral, high-performing supply chain.

Additional certifications to ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 17025 (general requirements for tests and calibration) will be achieved as soon as possible after the initial start up.

Special process certifications:

1
TIG and laser welding
2
Fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI)
3
Radiographic inspection (X ray)
4
Airflow

Additional quality management functions include:

1
Contract audits
2
Supplier and Partner audits
3
Quality audits of Bought-Out-Finished (BOF) supply chain
4
Incoming parts inspection
5
Gage and tool calibration
6
Certified operator program
7
Non-conforming materials (NCM) reporting
8
Materials Review Board (MRB)
9
Quarantine Stores
10
Maintenance and distribution of controlled copies of the QMS Manual

We evaluate our internal performance and ensure part conformity by means of the following measurement and checking procedures:

1
Comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with our QMS and with contract requirements
2
100% dimensional and feature checking of all critical attributes with process gauges and dedicated Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM), associated with each major machining center
3
CMM programs independently checked and verified as controlled software
4
CMMs calibrated against laboratory standards
5
Extensive use of real-time statistical process control (SPC) at the machine operator level, to provide process metrics to validate process capability (Cpk), and to assure part conformity to a prescribed x-sigma level
6
FMEA and associated risk mitigation studies on parts and processes
7
Air-flow measurement on calibrated flow stands to confirm cooling-hole performance
8
Materials Review Board (MRB)
9
Quarantine Stores
10
Full metallurgical laboratory for hardness, grain structure, weld assessments and crack detection by FPI and or X ray
