Timeline
Optimum Turbine Manufacture recognizes the urgency of the demand. We have in place a fully elaborated ramp-up program, which we share with prospective customers, and will continue to share over the coming months, as we pass each successive milestone.
Initial Start-Up
In the first instances, we offer an eight month ramp-up to the start of deliveries. This is governed primarily by the delivery lead time on certain major capital investments in CNC Machine Tools. Within this eight month period, all over actions will take place.

Development of a Quality Management System, in conjunction with seasoned Quality professionals who will assist in formalizing the QMS, including rigorous pre-audit testing, leading up to AS9100 Rev C certification by an accredited third party auditor. Additional NADCAP special process certifications will follow. More details are available under Quality.2
Construction of a new, purpose-built, 48,000 ft² ( 4,500 m²) environmentally-controlled plant – this is well advanced in the planning stage and will begin shortly, for completion within 6 months. Future plans allow for a doubling of contiguous space on the site.3
Containing office space split on two floors with a total of 9,800 ft² ( 1,000 m²) as a clear indication of the level for engineering support and investment that we plan to make. 4
Hiring our new team – key engineering and manufacturing leaders will be trained in the UK and Germany. This is specific training on the exact processes, machines and parts, to ensure a rapid, smooth start-up in Hermosillo.5
Establishing our Derby UK office as the key location for tooling and CNC/CMM program development. This will be an active part of RFP assessments, Proposals, and NPI. Certain functions will be transitioning to Mexico, as appropriate, in due course.6
Launching all the necessary infrastructure, with ERP and IT systems being core.
